Digital Assets Summit 2025 – Digitalization of Capital Markets

Quentin Werlé, participated in the Digital Assets Summit 2025, held at the Hilton London Tower Bridge, where he joined the panel “Digitalization of Capital Markets.”
Moderated by Bryony Widdup, the session featured experts from Hilbert Group, J.P. Morgan, Barclays, and ISDA, and examined how tokenization and blockchain infrastructure are reshaping global capital markets. Quentin highlighted Luxembourg’s position as the leading hub for cross-border fund distribution, backed by a pragmatic regulator, experienced service providers, and the EU passport giving access to 27 markets.
He also compared the fragmented European landscape, noting Luxembourg’s first-mover role on regulated crypto funds. From the investor perspective, Quentin stressed that regulated wrappers, governance, and Luxembourg’s reputation for stability provide strong reassurance; while challenges remain around limited service providers, evolving custody infrastructure, compliance costs, and the need for education on crypto funds.
Quentin shared insights from 6 Monks’ work as a regulated AIFM, emphasizing how operational readiness and regulatory alignment are key to supporting institutional adoption in the digital era.
